With the possibilities of artificial intelligence (AI), press photos can be linked to specific newspaper articles. Using smart algorithms, we can use image recognition to link thousands of newspaper photos with the whole range of photos in press photo archives. This makes it easier to find out the full story of a single press photo. Sioux's mathware solutions play a key role in making this possible.
The project is a collaboration between KB (national library), Groninger Archives, Noord-Hollands Archive, Picturae and Sioux Technologies.
