From 11 to 13 March, Sioux Technologies will be present at InterBattery 2026 in Seoul, Korea.

At our stand – Exhibition Hall A, Booth A260 – we will showcase the Sioux MicroInspector, an advanced inspection solution for fast, high-resolution detection of metallic contaminants in cathode active materials.

Contamination control in battery production is not a marginal issue. Metallic particles, even at small scale, can directly impact process reliability, safety, and long-term cell performance. Early and accurate detection is therefore essential.

The MicroInspector uses proprietary technology and algorithms to detect and identify metallic particles down to approximately 25 µm directly in raw material. Depending on the application, results are available within minutes, reaching 70 to 90 percent correlation with electron microscopy benchmarks, while operating at significantly higher speed.

Its modular design enables offline, near-line, and inline deployment. This supports real-time quality control and material differentiation, such as copper versus iron, helping manufacturers prevent contamination-driven failures and improve yield.

The system can be customized to specific customer requirements and is ready for integration into existing manufacturing processes and equipment.

Are you active in the cathode active material value chain?
We look forward to meeting you in Korea and discussing how intelligent inspection can strengthen your production reliability.
